The evening’s Visionary Leadership Awards Gala will begin at 7:30 pm at the Kennedy Center. Hosted by Phylicia Rashad, the black-tie event will honor seven Visionaries in the Performing Arts: Ray Charles, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Dick Gregory, Jimmy Heath, Geoffrey Holder and Odetta. Each Visionary will have chosen a younger protégé, who will perform in his or her honor. As part of the finale, we plan to invite all attending Visionaries on stage for special recognition.
